KISS crop & shop continued

Monte Ne is a resort that is now lies under the waters of Beaver Lake. For some strange reason I only got a picture of the first page:
Proof that my boys could actually play together. My title "Quit Pushing Me Around" is due to their constant fighting now, not then:
My husband & myself:
Van as a toddler would go out into his Papa's garden, grab a tomato off the vine, and just start chowing down:

KISS Crop & Shop, March 13

Satuday, Tricia & I went to our very first KISS Crop & Shop. As those of you close to me know, I don't (as a rule) scrap away from my room... why go somewhere else when you have it all at home?! lol I'm pretty spoiled by my room so I was very nervous about packing to go to this 12 hour crop. First I decided that I didn't have enough of my own pics prined so I'd work on my mom's backlog of pictures. I went thru & choose which ones appealed to me to work with. Then I matched those picture groups with papers, embellishments, ribbons, fibers, stickers, blah-blah-blah, then put that entire set into a folder. When I arrived at the crop I had 38 pre-planned layouts (single page countes as one, double as two). The next few blogs will be of some of the pages I did.

Ike swining at the UofA:
My boys (no, they definately are NOT angels!)

Brookly, my neice:

My boys, aren't the pretty boys?

Van, my oldest. My mom's best friend from my childhood sent us these Calvin Klines when he was born. I couldn't resist a play on the old Brook Sheilds ads:
Stay tune for more, feel free to comment now or later or both :-)

PPC-Color Challenge #3

Megan does her color challenges using SU!'s colors, but I have to convert them to CTMH... I don't have the true color conversion chart (probably should get that some time, huh?)
so I just guess at what I think they are. For this one, I used Black, Tulip, Crystal Blue & White Daisy

I had to add a little green, cuz that's just my color ;-) hope you like!

Updated on the cabinet

I wanted to paint the front of my cabinet that Ron & I made for my scrapbook supplies, but Ron wouldn't have any of that since he hadn't faced out the cabinet yet. So my wonderful husband let our youngest spray paint the trim, then Ron & I installed it on the cabinet this past weekend. I think it looks amazing!

Next I'm going to paint the face of the cabinet to the left of the first picture to help them blend together. What do you think? Look good?

What I've been doing...

Van (oldest son) went to a camp this summer that did a Scooby Doo skit, I picked & choose just a few pictuers to print but on the page there were just blah, so I put together a stack of flip flaps and attached them to the page with brads. It's still blah, I think I'll add a picture of Van to the page... they boys like the interaction of the filp flaps so I'll sut a slit in my page protector so they can stick thru.
Ike (younger son) went to a camp that had a rock climbing course which he completed for the first time. He was super excited!

Van also went to a nature camp this summer & MUST go back again this summer! On the last page I made him write a journal block for it.
It's about NATURE
Tracking Turtles (now that I see this on the screen, I'm going to outline the letters with a dark brown ink so they stand out better)
exploring CAVES
Playing & Learning
Van's journal says "ONSC was awesome. We did many things but my favorite was swimming in the river. I made many friends there and I want to go back."

Jimmy's Album

Here it is! Last summer we went camping with my brother & neice along with one of Jimmy's friends & his son... we all found out that we really don't like camping in the summer! lol

Update on The Attic

Many of you know that Ron & I have been desperately trying to find SOMEONE to build the addition for us that will provide interior stairway so an appraiser will count the bonus room as part of the house & we can upgrade our driveway with the extra money we might possibly have..... nobody wanted to touch it! I had two different contractors come out & take a look, one never called us back & the other isn't liscensed and since we're in the city limits he can't pull a permit although he is insured. Soooooo yesterday I put on my thinking cap, made some revisions, met with the original contractor last night and he's on board! He's going to work up a price for us so we'll know if it's a go for interior stairs or if we skip the improvements to the house & just do the driveway! YEA!
